About Us

Empowering Women, Celebrating Craftsmanship

The Bandhwari Women's Project is a social initiative powered by the passionate efforts of the Incentive Foundation and Florida International University’s International Business Honor Society (IBHS) students. We’re dedicated to empowering the talented women of Bandhwari, India. 42% of the profit goes directly to the women, 42% goes to supplies and the other 16% of the women gets reinvested into our non-profit.

Our Story

The women of Bandhwari hold little to no financial power due to tense social structures. Many are
unfortunately married off incredibly young and/ or are forced to live struggling to find stable employment for majority of their lives. Hoping to elevate their situation, in 2016 IBHS collaborated with Incentive Foundation to form a self-help group for the women and children of Bandhwari. Since then, we have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of our work. By providing the economic opportunities, we're helping these women break free from poverty and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

We encourage you all to become part of this incredible cause! Help IBHS celebrate the unique artistry of the Bandhwari women as we promote their empowerment despite environmental circumstances.
